Begin 2006

Welcome all current and new Cycle Mesabi members to 2006, our 17th year.

I think we all can say that our trial year of Thursday night rides was a success! The turn out for the new evening of Cycle Mesabi rides showed an increase in attendance throughout the entire year. The Tuesday night ride numbers also showed an increase in both miles and number of riders over the previous summer. With a day off between rides, more members and newcomers were able to show up to ride Thursday night. In addition, more Tuesday riders began to ride Thursday nights. Therefore, we will leave things alone for 2006 and again schedule Tuesday night rides for the beginners, families, and for those wishing a shorter ride at an easier pace, and a Thursday night ride for the more experienced riders wishing a longer route at a faster speed. Again, any rider may ride on any night. Thank you for making the experiment work.

New Website

Greetings everyone. Well, with the warm weather and sunshine today I can't help but think about the approach of spring and cycling again. Off-Season Ride Start Times Change to 5:00 PM

Even though our regular 2005 Season rides are now done we still have some folks that would like to continue with rides on Tuesday & Thursday nights -- weather permitting.  If you're interested in these "off-season" rides then you need to know that the start times will be 5:00 PM rather than 5:30 PM.
