Riders:
Well it might be getting close to the beginning of the 2014 Ride Season??? Right now I'm traveling in Louisiana and my wife and I have been gone for most of the Winter. Anyway I've been told that even though the snow has been melting on the road shoulders the riding conditions are still a bit sketchy. In addition I've also been told that the Mesabi Trail is still not open for riding. With these concerns we've decided to cancel the first week of our ride schedule for both Tuesday and Thursday nights. I've only updated the April and May months for our ride schedule charts. Check it out. We're also in the planning stage of an Opening Ride Season dinner for sometime in early or mid May. Last year it was discussed and decided that we try and encourage new adult riders to our group. We're considering a newspaper ad and an open invitation to the dinner mentione above. Team,
Well, the Challenge Period for the 2013 "National Bike Challenge" was completed at the end of October. Below is a link to the final results for our TEAM - "Cycle Mesabi". This was the second year for our team competing in the Challenge:

Just click on the "Teams" button and select "Challenge Period" as the "Period" and you'll see that we placed 23rd in the "Local Area".
Members & Friends:
On Thursday, September 12 we had our annual Fall Dinner Ride that ended with a casual dinner at Palmer's down near Bennett Park. We took a short ride on the Mesabi Trail toward Chisholm then turned around and peddled back to Palmer's. We had a dozen folks enjoy the nice Fall weather and great burgers and "Pig Wings" at Palmers. Great Time!
Cheers,
Henry
