Thursday - April 23rd's "Driving Range" Ride

With the battery dead on my camera Chris T. came to the rescue with his cell phone camera. Great looking group posing in front of the Mulligan's sign at our half way stop. This was the first warm night of our 2009 season and luckily the wind wasn't a head wind for much of the ride.

Tuesday Night Group to Kelly Lake

On the second Tuesday Night ride of this year we had eight brave soles that weathered a sunny, but crisp ride out to Kelly Lake.  Shown in the photo (left to right) are Hugh, Steve, Ed, Molly, Gordy and Pat.  John was probably halfway to Nashwauk at the time of the photo.

First Tuesday Night Ride of 2009

Tuesday Night Riders open to a Sunny, but Brisk Ride -

With a cold breeze off of the still frozen Carey Lake (look behind riders in photo) not many of our 15 rides took time to pose for our opening Tuesday Night Ride.  As usual our ride started   at the Hardee's parking lot in Hibbing.  On this occasion representatives from the Habitat for Humanity 500 Bike Ride (see announcement elsewhere on our website) spoke to us concerning their 2009 ride and handed out brochures.  Then it was off to Carey Lake on a sunny 10.4 mile ride.  The halfway point was at the historic ruins of the DuPont explosives building, but with the wind coming across the ice on the lake the stop was brief.  This Thursday the ride will be similiar, but with a bit more length.

Riders Steve, Ed, Molly & Tommy shown.
